I have lost my password. How can I reset it?

If you are not the 'super' administrator (i.e. the admin user of the default domain), ask your domain administrator or the super administrator to reset your password.

If you are the super administrator:

  1. edit the configuration file Security.cfg and add the following line:

    ResetAdminPassword newpassword
  2. restart DeskNow

DeskNow will automatically change the admin password to newpassword (you can obviously use a different password other than 'newpassword').

DeskNow will automatically remove the line from Security.cfg , for security reasons. To stay on the safe side, it is recomended to change your password again at the first login.
