How do I use DeskNow as web server for other virtual domains?

DeskNow uses Apache Tomcat as its web server core technology. Please note that Apache Tomcat is not the standard Apache httpd daemon, but is a separate software, which is a web server and much more.

To configure a virtual domain in Tomcat, simply edit the file server.xml (in C:Program FilesDeskNowconf , or /var/desknow/conf on Linux/Unix)

and below the existing <Host> section add the following lines:

      <Host name="" appBase="webapps">
       <Context docBase="C:\www\otherdomain\" path=""/>

(replace with the virtual domain name, and C:\www\otherdomain\ with the folder where the HTML files are located - make sure to leave the \ character at the end).

Then copy the folder C:\Program Files\DeskNow\webapps\ROOT\WEB-INF to C:\www\otherdomain\ .

Then restart DeskNow.
