Just edit the file webapps\desknow\WEB-INF\web.xml with a text editor.

Look for this section:

<servlet-mapping>
<servlet-name>login</servlet-name>
<url-pattern>/index.html</url-pattern>
</servlet-mapping>


replace index.html with index2.html (for example), so that you can put in your own static index.html file (in webapps\desknow).

Note: index2.html does not exist as a static file. DeskNow (or the applications server) will map the address transparently.
