How do I configure DeskNow with NOD32 Antivirus?

NOD32 version 3

  1. Enable advanced mode, and in the 'Advanced setup tree', disable Email Protection/POP3 .
  2. If NOD32 is used on client computers as well, this same setting can be disabled on those computers too
  3. in the 'Advanced setup tree', add C:desknowdata*.* to the 'Exclusions' list
  4. using Notepad, create a file with this content:
    cd "C:\Program Files\ESET\ESET NOD32 Antivirus"
    ecls /no-boots %1

    and save it as C:\nod32.bat
  5. In DeskNow, login as admin, click on Administration/Antivirus and enter the following command line:
    C:\nod32.bat %FILE%

NOD32 version 2.6/2.7

1) in the NOD32 Control Center, click on IMON and make sure to disable POP3 monitoring. This should be done on the server and client computers.

2) in the NOD32 Control Center (on the DeskNow server), click on EMON and disable the module

3) in the NOD32 Control Center, click on AMON and in the Exclusions sesction make sure to exclude the c:desknowdata folder from scanning

4) in DeskNow, login as admin and in Administration/Antivirus use the following command line to invoke the scanner:

C:\Program Files\ESET\nod32 /delete /arch+ /quit+ /selfcheck- /expire- %FILE%
